It’s no surprise that Levi’s newest collaboration featuring acting phenomenon Barbie Ferreira is everything we could have dreamed of, and more. Cool, glitchy, and surreal, the pieces feature dark wash denim and lace-up corsets, as Ferreira finds the equilibrium between Y2K and futuristic clothing in a collaboration set to ruin our bank accounts this holiday season.

Originally inspired by patchwork jeans, Ferreira took note from collage art to craft together baggy overdyed, patched pants crafted in a handpicked color palette—with the intent to make this collection feel comfortable and wearable, but more importantly, powerful when you’re wearing it. The pieces each feature a distressed and tattered aspect while maintaining an effortless and easygoing vibe about them.

With the pieces being a sure knockout, artist Ben Evans helped make Ferreira‘s vision come to life for the design motifs. With hand drawn doodles of bunnies emulating the fairytale energy of the collection, an oversized long coat is designed with washed black denim featuring Evans’s doodles sprawled across the interior seams, while a Lace-Up Corset matches exquisitely well with the Lace-Up, Mid-Rise, Flare Jean. Continuing with the fairytale-esque motif, an allover graphic bunny print, made with a bleach splatter technique, runs across a pair of 90s 501 Jeans.

A chartreuse pleated skirt is distressed at the hem, perfectly meshing together the dark fairytale with a futuristic dream. In the name of nostalgia, a tight mesh long-sleeve shirt is decked out in a 90s amoeba style print and thumb holes, while an oversized tee features a glow-in-the-dark bunny. Not neglecting to consider accessories, Ferreira tops off the collection with a reversible Tulip Hat, chartreuse on one side and the 90s amoeba style print on the other.

Ferreira brought in a long-time, collaborator and friend, Petra Collins, to work on this collection with her. Known for her new-wave feminist photography, Collins and Ferreira elevated the collection with shots, featuring rich textures and unique lighting. The photoshoot combines Collins’s otherworldly aesthetic while perfectly capturing Ferreira’s daring collection.
