Last weekend, all eyes were on the happenings of Art Basel, where the renowned art expo brought enthusiasts from far and wide to the “Magic City” of Miami, Florida. Attendees had the opportunity to explore prestigious works of art and attend the exclusive Art Basel parties, of course.

One of this year’s festivities hosts was the New York-based, Australian designer Dion Lee. Marking a significant milestone for the brand, Dion Lee hosted a celebration for the grand opening of the inaugural US flagship in the heart of Miami’s Design District at the Institute of Contemporary Art. The star-studded event featured an exclusive performance by Kelela, complemented by DJ sets from Crystallmess, Mister Vacation, and Fashion. Amongst the stars on the guest list was Jamaican singer-songwriter and recent INGENUS feature Shenseea, who took a moment to walk GEN V through the process of getting ready for the event.

First step of getting ready: makeup! I love keeping it natural and just really focus on the basics.
My Dion Lee dress is absolutely stunning and I am so excited to wear it tonight!
Obviously had to include a close-up of one of my favorite parts of the dress. The small details are amazing!
The dress is finally on and the best part is it’s a look I feel confident in and I can’t wait for everyone to see it later! Adding on a few accessories as a finishing touch!
