On Monday, November 20th, Dior and Saks lit up Fifth Avenue like never before, debuting the much anticipated “Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks” window installation. With an all-star event to help ring in the official arrival of the holiday season, the bash introduced Saks’ iconic holiday windows decked out in Dior, topped off with a spectacular light show outside of the iconic shopping hub.

With an introduction to the night that included speeches by Saks CEO Marc Metrick and Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Delphine Arnault, heartfelt remarks by Dior Ambassador and Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence (complete a hilarious speech mishap that’s now gone viral) helped bring the sparkle to the evening.

Among the many A-listers in attendance, TikTok star Anna Sitar sat right beside them all to watch in amazement as the store’s facade sparkled in lights. Lucky for us, Anna brought GEN V along for the ride for a peek into her getting-ready process for the event with a glimpse into the performance.

Monday evening was the unveiling of Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks and I am elated to be bringing you with me on a little journey of getting ready and attending the show!
My momma is attending the event with me so, OF COURSE, we had to have matching Lady Dior Bags. Thankfully, this means she can also carry all my belongings because this accessory can only handle lipstick and hand warmers. 🙂
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S. One of my favorite parts of getting ready for events, for a few reasons. Firstly, I feel like a princess. Secondly, when I see the hair and makeup come together it COMPLETES a look and adds this unexpected element. Styling can be completely altered during glam and it feels so exciting all the time.
And the reveal. NOW IS WHEN I GET NERVOUS. As always, Matka was behind the camera capturing every stunning angle of the evening.

I arrived at the show and now we wait for the celebration of lights to begin! One of my favorite parts of the evening is arriving and seeing all the lovely familiar faces; friends I have made and individuals I admire!

And it ABSOLUTELY did! We witnessed the unveiling of the windows in front of Saks which were all perfectly curated with stunning Dior symbolism as well as fireworks, music, and an incredible, animated light show of the art piece on the front of the building. It was absolutely a night to remember!
The best way to celebrate always? A shirley temple.
But truly the best part was bringing Matka with me. Being able to show my best friend not only a sliver of my world but to watch her be inspired and taken care of so well throughout the night by everyone involved warmed my entire soul even on the coldest NYC Day. Thank you so much Dior, Dior Beauty, and Saks for such a breathtaking experience and for allowing me to be a part of history for your brands.
